Default Buell vs Deer

I had only had my bike for three weeks when I hit a deer. It was 3/23/2009 @ 9:00PM. I was leaving Lebanon, MO (where I work) headed toward Falcon, MO (where I live). I had not even made it out of the city limits when a deer ran right in front of me. I never even had a chance to hit the brakes. I hit the deer broadside at about 45-50 MPH ejecting me off the right side of the bike. I landed on the back side of my helmet and right shoulder, then tumbled about 4 times and the bike skid about 70 feet.

Here are some pictures of the gear I was wearing during the accident.

Yes, that is deer hair. The deer got the worst end of the deal by the way.

The leader of our ride hit a deer this weekend. We where only about 2 miles into the ride. He was on a KTM SM. He broadsided that sucker at about 35 or 40mph. Threw his girl off the bike. Get this...HE KEPT THE BIKE UPRIGHT. Stopped, put the kickstand down and THEN discovered the deer broke his leg.

The guy has a nasty compound fracture but he's gonna be ok. The bike is ridable and in great shape. It couldn't have gone any better for such a terrible situation. And his girlfriend is ok. Just some bruises and sprained ankle.

john that was just wrong. but funny.

all he needs is some red yarn and a few pieces of yellow from the gloves. that would make a awesome fly.

Lol, just being environmentally conscious...it was a joke and I'm glad someone got it!!

Not only did you get it, but you made it more colorful by adding color to the fly.
