So I'm heading towards a traffic light, left lane which is empty ahead of me. Some knucklehead passes me on the right and at first I figured he needed the right lane to go right. I figured just in case he wants to cut in front of me I give it a little more. Then he DOES cut in front of me while hitting the brakes hard. I slammed into him even though I did hit the brakes as well. His shitty little car didn't weight a thing so there was no way I could made it anyway. So I jump outta my car, pull open his door and I get in face with my bad breath screaming my lounges out. I see this big guy shivering like a leaf telling me to cool down. So I cool down after I screamed some more and take a step back and tell him to pull over 'cos there's a dent in my hood. He says no way. I walk back up to him ready to pull him out of his car when he hits the gas and takes off. I tried to catch up but it was too busy, too many traffic lights. I was so freaked out I was about to cause more accidents and I figured I'd better let it go before I get myself in more trouble.

Oke, so I could have prevented it if I hadn't given it a little more gas and had given him some room to be an *******. If I had behaved less like an ******* myself he would have probably pulled over and we could have settled it. But then again maybe not, I don't know ...

I know how I am about my vehicles. I probably wouldn't have said a word to that guy just real calmly yanked him out of the car, and proceed to just pound him into the pavement. I'm sure you've heard 500 times already, but "At least you weren't on the bike."

did you happen to get his license plate number? i imagine it is illegal for people to drive away from the scene of an accident just like here in the states?

No license plate. It all went too fast but I am reporting it to the police. I was already up there on the bike but they need to see the damage and report it.

glad that you're fine, cars and bikes can be repaired . . . we take time to heal.

Actually it isn't a bad thing he took off. The one driving into the other is per definition at error over here. If he would have pulled over and told the cops he just stopped for the traffic lights denying his brainless stunting, I would be the one to blame for his damage. He took off and will have to pay for his own damage. I on the other hand have my story, no one can varify and the insurance will pay.

The same applies here where I am. I think it can be a lousy law when you get into a situation like that. However, you are probably right as to it somewhat working to your benefit.
