Hey everyone! Well, it's officially winter here in MI as we have had several inches of snow on the ground and 20 degree temps since Thanksgiving. It's gonna be a long cold winter here. If I didn't have my hockey beer league on Sunday's I'd be going stir crazy!! I sure would like to see more posts from all of you in the warmer climates telling us about your riding adventures. I mean it's only Dec and I'm just itching to go riding and realistically won't get to until mid April, so I have a LONG way to go yet. Sure would be good to hear how the riding is elsewhere! Look forward to some interesting posts!:D

Here's a few pics from this past weekend. Went with the local BMW club to deliver clothing and DVDs to the Veterans at the VA nursing home.

no kidding Vadar! Weather in Illinois sucks too. Can't wait for bike week to get here!
Stwings- where are you in Michigan?? I grew up in the Owosso/Corunna/Durand area all my life and left in '83 to join the Army. I really miss the snow, snowmobiling, and hockey! I'm down at Fort Rucker now (retired) and love riding everyday. People around here think I'm crazy for riding when it's 32 degrees but the gear keeps me plenty warm. I still can't believe how few bikes there are down here considering the season is year long. Guess you are required to own and operate a pick-up (with no mufflers) to live 'round these here parts.....Here's a pic of what I would also like to be doing right now. Our other passion...boating......
Anyways, stay warm and remember that I would love to trade places with you for about 2 weeks! Later, Odie22.

yeah...no kidding, it does suck. Well, you've got a bike week coming. That's cool. I don't have a bike week here, so the closest I can get is to go to the nearest HD dealer and smell the new bikes in the showroom. The boys all know me there now...LOL.

I wish I lived closer to Lakeland. Nice pics Mike!!!
Hey Odie I didn't know you lived at Fort Rucker, I got to spend the summer of '82 down there when dad was in flight school learning to fly Hueys.

Hey Odie! Born and raised in Lansing. My National Guard unit is based in Owosso. I would love to trade a day of boating for a day of snowmobiling here!! Take care!
BuellGator- yea, wonderfull Mother Rucker! We've PCS'd here from Germany in '97 and we're still here. I retired last June after 21 years and there is plenty of work here for a Blackhawk guy so this is it for awhile. I'll have to stop by and see you when we get down that way next time. Might be doing Jennings in Jan and we want to take the boat to the Bahamas out of the West Palm/Miami area possibly next year. We'll get down there sooner or later! Odie

Some may remember this pic but this was taken today, we decided to hit the same spot and take a shot.
Daygo wasn't holding up to its sunny days this weekend, we're feeling the cold and clouds this time around but it was still a bit chilly to ride out as far as we did. My fingers are still tingling . . .
